Working Capital Loans

U.S. Exporters pre-export finance to purchase raw materials and finished goods for export; to pay for materials and overhead to produce goods and services for export. Types of beneficiaries: manufacturers, trading companies, wholesalers, distributors, service companies.

 

Term Loans

International Buyers of U.S. capital equipment and services (e.g. trucks, medical and construction equipment, aircraft, machinery, architectural and industrial design, information technology, engineering services).

 

 

Project Finance

Newly Created Companies that require limited resource financing with the project’s future cash flow as the primary source of repayment; this financing arrangement is especially appropriate where hard currency revenues can be captured offshore or long-term off-take contracts insure project cash flows.

 

 

 

Structured Finance

Existing Companies with a history that indicate a consistent flow of cash into the business that can allow for the timely and orderly repayment of the loan amount. Examples of how structured finance may be right option include: a business with strong client base and documented history of monthly billing coupled with consistent pay histories of the customers, a company that is emerging from a downturn and needs operating capital to resume growth.

Accounts Receivable Insurance

U.S. Exporters particularly new and rapidly growing businesses. Accounts receivable insurance can take the form of multi-buyer policy to insure all sales to eligible international buyers (a pool of receivables) or key buyer policy to protect short-term sales made by an exporter to a single international buyer. The policy covers a wide range of goods, and provides the exporter with the ability to offer credit terms to its foreign customers for up to 180 days for most products and up to 360 days for bulk agriculture and capital goods.

Medium-Term Insurance

Foreign Buyers of U.S. capital equipment issued as an insurance policy not exceeding $10 million and a period not exceeding 5 years.

Short-Term Environmental Export Insurance

 

U.S. Small Business Exporters of products or services for foreign environmental or renewable energy projects or facilities. The policy provides multi-buyer and single-buyer coverage and allows the exporter to offer credit terms to its foreign customers for up to 180 days.

 

Working Capital Loans

 

U.S. Small- and Medium Sized Exporters of environmental goods and services. The product provides pre-export funding needs and covers stand-by letters of credit, bid and performance bonds.

 

Enhanced Medium-Term Insurance

 

International Buyers of U.S. environmentally beneficial export products. The policy includes local cost coverage equal to 30% of the U.S. contract price and capitalization of interest during construction.
